The Vancouver Canucks Run to the 2011 Stanley Cup - My Facepaint Experience

I am a bit of a Canucks fan and this year I decided to get my facepainted for every Vancouver Canucks playoff game on their quest for the 2011 Stanley Cup. This is my Facepaint Experience.

It started in 2010 with this photo when the Canucks lost to Chicago Blackhawks. I was going for an evil spiderman kind of facepaint look.

Round 1 Game 1

Vancouver Canucks vs. Chicago Blackhawks

I found a silly orca hat at the Vancouver Aquarium that I also decided to wear to the game. I got my face painted by Angela Epsey with the A Star Art Parlour who are the official facepainters at the Vancouver Canucks games.

This is us waving my giant Canadian flag and appearing on CBC's Hockey Night in Canada.

Below is my goofy orca hat that my 7 year old neice has now claimed from me.

We appeared on the Rogers Fan Cam too which further motivated me to kick up the face paint designs a notch.

Round 1 Game 7

Vancouver Canucks vs. Chicago Blackhawks

This game 7 paint job was my favourite thus far and the facepaint was done by Jenna with creative LIME.

Round 2 Game 2

Vancouver Canucks vs. Nashville Predators

I started making silly face during photos in the Nashville series... not really sure why.

Round 3 Game 1

Vancouver Canucks vs. San Jose Sharks

This is another facepaint design by Angela Epsey with the A Star Art Parlour. Yes, its true I have 2 make up artists that paint my face prior to arriving at the arena. Thank you for the Yaletown Brewing Company for allowing this to happen.

My wife is a good sport and even gets her face painted with pretty little swirls.

Round 3 Game 2

Vancouver Canucks vs. San Jose Sharks

I asked Jenna from creative LIME to paint a Stanley Cup on my face as per my business partner John's suggestion. It turned out pretty well.

Someone called me Gene Simmons between periods which inspired many more photos with my tongue out.

Round 4 Game 1

Vancouver Canucks vs. Boston Bruins

For game 1 I wanted a simpler look that matched my jersey. Jenna with creative LIME obliged with a great facepaint design once again. I like the sunglasses on look but it made it hard to watch the game.

Security asked me on the way into the arena if I had a zamboni in my pocket. I said yes.

Tomorrow night is game 2 of the Boston vs. Vancouver Canucks Stanley Cup Final and I am open to suggestions for facepaint designs, please leave a comment below or tweet me at @chrisbreikss.
